Joel Miller joins Indico Labs as Director of Product Strategy

Here at Indico Labs, we are thrilled to introduce Joel Miller as our new Director of Product Strategy. With a solid background in analytics and machine learning, Joel joins us after successfully managing a team at Streetbees for more than two years, followed by an impressive nine-year tenure at Cision. We couldn't be happier to have Joel on board and we're excited to see the innovative ideas and strategies he'll bring to the table. In this blog post, we'll take a moment to get to know Joel!

An interview with Joel:

What excites you about Indico Labs?

Indico Labs are at that interesting cross-section between automation and data visualisation. I love the fact they can ensure consistent, repeatable outcomes for labour-intensive tasks (you know, the thankless but crucial tasks) while cutting their customers' costs. There is so much to love about the current product suite - but I’d be lying if I said I’m not eager to push the solutions onto the next level! I jumped at the chance to come to a company with a solid foundation and a loyal customer base, but with a road ahead of it to grow into.

What do you love about product strategy?

I love to get inside the heads of my customers, understand the demands of the market they play in, and plot the pathway to powering them to greater success. I love the feeling of a blank canvas that I can craft to whatever my customers need, but also nerdy enough to enjoy the nuts and bolts of sprint planning. I am a serial planner in my personal life, so why not extend that to my professional one too?

Tell us something interesting about you

I love to paint! Abstracts-only though as I cannot draw to save my life. I’ve just become an adoptive parent to a sweet young girl from Japan (READ: First time puppy daddy to a Shiba Inu), and when I’m not making tongue-in-cheek, semi-witty, barely-appropriate jokes, I’m probably watching some sort of reality TV. Kavos Weekender FTW!
